Setting of Fees

Our fees are usually determined by lawyer’s compensation act (“Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz”, “RVG”). They increase according to the amount in dispute. The RVG follows the concept, that legal fees shall compensate the lawyer’s effort, but also picture the importance to the client and the amount of exposures of liability. Unfortunately, it is not easy for somebody, who is not familiar with legal fees according to RVG, to calculate them by themselves. And that’s why we kindly ask you to ask us instead. You will get all information regarding any costs, which should be expected – free of charge, of course.

In particular cases, the fees according to RVG can be inappropriate. A very high amount in dispute can mask a very simple legal question. On the other hand, a rather small matter can turn out to be very complex. In these kind of cases we make agreements as to our fees, so that effort and consideration are in due proportion.

If you have a legal protection plan, we deal with the correspondence, for you can get protection as fast and as comprehensive as possible.
