Our fees – transparent and fair

Our fees are usu­ally de­term­ined by lawyer’s com­pens­a­tion act (“Recht­san­walts­ver­gü­tungs­ge­setz”, “RVG”). This law cal­cu­lates fees based on the value of the claim – a sys­tem that takes into ac­count both the amount of work in­volved for the so­li­citor and the im­port­ance of the mat­ter for the cli­ent and the as­so­ci­ated li­ab­il­ity risk.
Un­for­tu­nately, it is not easy for some­body, who is not fa­mil­iar with legal fees ac­cord­ing to RVG, to cal­cu­late them by them­selves. And that’s why we kindly ask you to ask us in­stead. You will get all in­form­a­tion re­gard­ing any costs, which should be ex­pec­ted – free of charge, of course.

In cer­tain cases, how­ever, re­mu­ner­a­tion ac­cord­ing to the RVG may not be ap­pro­pri­ate – for ex­ample, if a high amount in dis­pute is off­set by a simple legal is­sue or, con­versely, if an ap­par­ently minor case in­volves con­sid­er­able ef­fort. In such situ­ations, we agree on in­di­vidual fee ar­range­ments to en­sure a fair re­la­tion­ship between ser­vice and consideration.
If you have legal ex­penses in­sur­ance, we will be happy to handle the cor­res­pond­ence with the in­surer so that you re­ceive com­pre­hens­ive cover as quickly as possible.
